Looking for Edible Thighs

That's what my coworker Ryan thought I said and was like WHAT??? I laughed. Apparently I am losing my hearing and so is he. But life is good. Work was long but actually not super busy so it seemed to go by decently fast even thought I ended up spending the entire day with only one contact lens because something was wrong with my right one. Eh. It didn't matter. I managed decently even though using the cash register was a bit of a challenge.

Well, even though this is a short entry I need to go to bed. That's what happens when you sit up till 1am with your sister watching the latest episode of the Biggest Loser. Such an amazing show.

And I finished my first ever counted cross stitch tonight. I feel accomplished!

I Wanna Boom Bang Bang With Your Body

That song really made me laugh as I was coming home from the barn with my mom. It was very catchy but very raunchy! I feel like a terrible person since I haven't blogged in a few days. I don't know but I was slacking big time or something. I feel bad, but for some reason I don't find it a huge deal.

The last few days have been the same as usual. Going to school, picking apples, and riding the horses. Not much overall.

I got back into cross stitching again and I am almost done with the small one I have been doing. It looks pretty good. For being my first one I am very proud of it all. And now I am going to go back to doing that!

Demonic Apples = Almost Bloody Noses

Yup. I almost gave myself a bloody nose today while picking apples. I was trying to pull the apple off the tree and the apple basically told me hell no and wouldn't budge. So I pulled harder and it popped off the branch so suddenly that I lost grip on the apple and it beaned me right in the nose. It hurt and it shocked me and then I laughed my ass off. Yup. I thought it was funny as hell and seriously wished it had been caught on camera because that was America's Funniest Home Video worthy. I am just glad it wasn't a bloody nose, but then again it would have really made for a funny story if I went back to the store for napkins!

Jeanette and I are apparently going Trick or Treating on Halloween in my neighborhood and then going off to West Hartford and kidnapping Alex from his house. We have it all planned out. I'm rather excited for all this. And my sister (who is probably reading this) is being kidnapped for trick or treating. Come be silly with us. That's an order!

I Think We've Sprung a Leak

Our new dishwasher got put in today. That's super exciting since our other one kind of stopped washing the dishes. I guess that meant it was time to get a new one! Though, I just learned how to use the old one. Oh well! Unfortunately, the water filtration system under our sink decided to spring a leak. Oops. And let's just say this isn't a small leak. It was seriously like a flood of water. My dad ended up turning off the water to the filtration system so the leak is stopped for now. I don't think it would have made it through the night. We would have woken up to a flood in the kitchen. At least we didn't have to shut the water off to the entire house. Though that wouldn't be super bad overnight. We have three toilets in the house and we would be able to flush each one once so that would have been better than nothing. I am so used to the plumbing in our house going bananas that it doesn't even faze me anymore.

So I officially love my classmates. They are just some of the most incredible people that I have ever met. I was worried that I wouldn't make friends fast, but pretty much we all become friends day one. And as the days go by we all get closer and closer to each other. I love it. My classmate Brian said that after we finished the program and I did enough training with him I would be beating the guys off with a stick and my ex would be trying to get back with me. It was seriously the sweetest thing ever! That's the one awesome thing about having guy friends. They are not afraid to tell you the honest truth. And are really cute about it.

Last note before I wander off. Taylor Swift's new CD is amazing! It came out today and I instantly downloaded it. I am having a good time listening to it. Her lyrics really speak to me. And she just seems so down to earth. Happy sigh.

Fresh Baked Loaf Cake and Choconut

Even though work was really long today, we had a great time. Only my coworkers and I can come up with the stuff we do to entertain ourselves and make the day go by even faster. Today we had stickers that said "Fresh baked loaf cake," so since we didn't need them for anything, we ended up sticking them to each other. In the end we all had at least three or four stickers on our backs. And we would try and secretly leave them on each other. I found five of them on me. And there is one stuck to the back of my phone. Also when Ryan was writing down a list of the pies he needed to stick in the freezer, he was trying to write chocolate and ended up making it coconut. That was another thing we laughed about for the next twenty minutes. I so love my coworkers.

My knees and feet are such a mess though. I ended up getting gel insoles to try and make life a little easier for me. We will see how things go with that.

I can't wait for school tomorrow. Okay, so there are a few reasons for that. Number one is that I really like school and all my classmates and all of the stuff that I am learning. The second thing is I get to see the cute PFT guy that I have been talking to here and there. The crazy thing is the two of us both went to Southington High and both graduated in 2006 and never knew the other existed. Crazy, huh? He's very cute. Tall, brown hair, blue eyes. And his name is Mike. Seriously. Is everyone named Mike??? I guess so. I don't know where things are going to go with him, but who knows. I don't expect much but I never do.

I also think Matt Mercer is flirting with me. Why do I know this? Just the little things he says. While he is nice, he is just a friend. I don't see anything else in him. But like every girl (who is sexually frustrated) I like the attention. Does that make me a whore? Who knows. But I could honestly care less.

Okay. Time to study a bit for tomorrow before going to sleep.

My Northface Smells Like Pie. Sad face.

My poor Northface smells like pie. It is very tragic. While pie is delicious and smells amazing, it starts to get old after a while. Soon, smelling pie makes you want to cry. I think I am nearing that point. I smell pie and inside I die a little bit. I guess that's what happens when you oversleep and make a 45 minute trip in 32 minutes and arrive to work 2 minutes after you are supposed to. A new record has been set. This is out last uber busy weekend, so then things should settle down and I shouldn't have to pick apples anymore. I cannot wait for that to be over.

I am now stuffed full of Olive Garden food and am going to pass out.

Where is the Church?????

My sister was looking up the address of the church where the funeral for our friend's mom was being held. It is going to be in Bristol, CT. I come up and she is looking at a map trying to find where the church is in location to the funeral home. I look at the computer screen for a moment and then ask:

Why are you looking for directions to a church in the United Kingdoms?

Yup. My sister was looking at a church in Bristol, United Kingdoms. Easily the funniest thing I have ever witnessed.

And yes. This is very blog worthy. Sorry Ali!

Don't Eat Me

I must have said that over and over again to the horse Belle that I was riding in my lesson. She has a tendency to be kind of mean. But she was surprisingly good today for me and didn't do anything crazy. She did launch me over a bunch of fences though and that brought back bad memories and I ended up panicking to a point where I couldn't breathe. I faced it and did it, but it was terrifying in the process. I hate that horrible unrelenting fear, but I am going to keep working through it no matter what happens.

Grady is still not 100% so I think I am just going to give him another couple weeks off to see if we can get him back to where he needs to be. My instructor is also going to teach me how to long line with him so I can work him at a walk in a nice head set so I don't lose all of that when I can really ride him again.

Work is tomorrow and I am hoping it will be the last really busy weekend. I can make it through. It has been a long couple months but I really need the money and this is better than nothing. I also like my boss and my coworkers. I just can't wait to get a PFT job and do what I love to do all the time!

I Think My Beta Fish is Constipated

My poor fish looked so bad today that I was finally like I can't look at him struggle to swim like this anymore. So I did some research and found out that it is fixable. Apparently it is called a swim bladder disorder or constipation. The swim bladder helps fish swim and float and such. My mom didn't think it could bit it, but the symptoms matched up.

1. Swimming fine one day and then swimming sideways.
2. Swimming sideways.
3. Lying on the bottom of the tank.
4. Struggling to swim to the top of the bowl and looking as if there is a loss of buoyancy.
5, Listless.

Yup. He's got all of those. The poor thing. So it's fixable, so right now Phoebus is fasting for two days and then I have to try and feed him something of a cooked pea. And it should help him out. I hope so. The poor thing looks pretty bad. But he's looked like that since August. Oh well. We will just have to see what goes.

Well, I made it through the week. Sort of. Tomorrow I have to go to my grandmother's house to clean out more stuff and meet these Dutiful Daughter people, then go to a riding lesson, then go to a wake. One of the girls at the barn's mother just passed away. It's really upsetting for her, but her mother has been sick for a while. It's still so sad.

Sigh.

Chocolate Cake and Pelvic Bones

We pretty much finished all of the bones that we need to go over for our huge bone lab next Thursday. Unfortunately the pelvis has to be one of the more complicated bones with all of the bony landmarks and then trying to figure out which way the bone is facing because if you get it backwards everything is all screwed up. Fortunately chocolate cake was provided for us by one of our classmates. Made it all that much better.

Though, then again I really shouldn't be eating chocolate cake...

Note to self: ladders should not be given to me for use.

I had to use a ladder for picking apples at work. I am basically stripping the trees out there. It is god awful and there were a few occasions where I almost fell off the ladder when it decided it didn't want to cooperate with me. Unfortunately, I will be doing the same thing on Thursday if it doesn't rain. Yay! (sarcasm).

And my horse's leg is still oddly swollen in places and that might cause me to have to rest him more if Friday doesn't go well. Double yay (sarcasm).

I need more sleep...

I Like (Most) of My Family

Everyone loves their family. Even though they drive them insane and pester them and are constantly in their business, it doesn't matter. Deep down we love it and know that they do everything they do out of love for us. That's what I love about my family. No matter what happens they are always there for you in the worst of situations. They comfort you, coddle you, support you, encourage you, and sometimes kick your ass in gear. We get frustrated with them and say we hate them or feel embarrassed, but that's just part of being a family. Poor communication skills. Every family has that one! My life is my family. And they will always come first in my life.

Then there are those family members that you despise no matter what and believe the best thing for them is to go to Alaska and never come back. Yes. We all have those relatives too. The relatives that have fallen out of touch and that animosity and anger follow their names. Unfortunately there is nothing we can do about them. I have an aunt and an uncle like this. And today was one of those splendid days where I found out just how much I don't love them.

Here's the picture: My uncle is my dad's older brother. He married my aunt. He's a dentist and she works in his office. They have no kids. They are rich. They have two houses. They love golf and would rather spend time in Florida with their rich, snobby friends. They belong to a country club (and practically run it). And they care about nothing and no one bu themselves. My grandmother was the only thing that kept them around. Now that she's gone all of that has changed.

When my grandmother passed, she split her inheritance 50/50 with my dad and my uncle. Now, my parents want to go through the house and keep things and save things for my sister and me. My aunt and uncle just want to get rid of everything and then escape. My family has been working on cleaning out the house, but it's not easy. We are always busy. My dad works five days a week and is on call some weekends. My mom works perdeium. Her coworker's daughter just died and my mom has now gone working two days a week to five days a week. She is exhausted. My sister is away at school. I go to school four days a week, work Tuesday and Thursday and work the weekends. Friday is my one day off and I like to sleep a little. Like I said, we are busy. And now a days that is the typical American family. My aunt and uncle are not the typical American family.

My mom gets a phone call from my aunt today about the house and everything. I have never seen my mom get off the phone more livid than she did this afternoon. My aunt wants everything to be done ASAP. Like this Friday. She wants us to pull out everything we want so these people can go through the house and get it ready for showing. My aunt doesn't have a Realtor set up and such and thinks the house will sell fast. What world is she living in? It's getting close to the holidays and the economy and housing market suck. She then is pestering my mom about selling a chair that my mom and dad bought for my grandfather years and years ago. My mom nearly blew a gasket and plans on giving the chair to one of her friends. My aunt and uncle want to sell everything that has a thread of value to it. My mom would rather give it away. We are the people who could use money and yet we don't care if we give the furniture away or sell it.

My aunt and uncle want everything done with the house by the time my uncle retires on the 29th of this month. Seriously. Yes. They are delusional.

But here is the clincher to the whole thing. For as long as I can remember, we have always had Thanksgiving over at my aunt and uncle's house with my grandmother. Now that she is gone, my aunt and uncle are "passing" Thanksgiving this year. How un-American can you possibly be? Once everything with the house is over with they will most likely move to Florida with all the other old people and we'll never see them again. I'm not sorry or sad in the least. And I don't feel bad about it. They are no family of mine.

Well. That's my rant for the day. I am glad that my mom's side of the family is actual family. Otherwise life would mos def suck!

Almost Covered in Pumpkin Pie

Work was busy today in spits and spurts, but the start of the day almost ended in my coworker Jake getting covered in pumpkin pie. I was in the walk in freezer collected frozen pies to prepare for baking. There are no windows. My boss's wife Kristy was walking by the walk in freezer with a tray of pumpkin pies. Neither of us knew the other was there and I walked out of the freezer as she was walking by. Poor Jake almost got covered in pie, but somehow no pies or people were harmed so life went on. It was still crazy! I don't know what I would have done if I had gotten covered in pumpkin pie. I'm glad none of us have to find out!

Kyle and Dan John came to visit at work today. It's strange really since Kyle never came to see me at work when we were still together and now that we are separate he makes the effort. Interesting. I don't know what it means, but I am not dwelling on it. It will just make my life even more complicated than it already is. For once I want something simple. I want a sweet, hot guy to come along and like me and actually stick with me for any length of time. Is that so much to ask? Apparently so. Oh well.

Sexy Smokin' Hot Vixen

That's exactly what I was tonight. I took my classmates advice and made myself look and feel sexy and then went out to dinner with the whole group including Kyle. It was good to be with the group again. I have missed everyone and all the crazy conversations that we have, but I will admit it was hard to be near Kyle again. Things are still very fresh and it is hard to make those feelings vanish over night. We acted as if nothing happened between the two of us, but the dynamics between us were definitely different. He spent more time chatting with everyone that me and such and was pretty quiet during dinner. Maybe that's his way with coping. I don't know. But having Dan, Christian, Matt and Ikeem around me really helped because I was so busy chatting away with that that I didn't notice the awkward silence between me and Kyle as much. All in all it was a good night and I am glad that I was able to be around friends. The drive home was awful in the rain, but I made it and figured I might as well update on my outing. I won't lie and say it was easy tonight, because it sure as hell wasn't, but I feel as if I have made a big step forward for me. We will have to see where things go from there.

The vet that was coming out to look at another horse ended up canceling so Kim called our vet and he is coming out tomorrow around 2pm to see Grady. His leg is still swollen and I iced it and lazered it as well before Kim wrapped him up again. Tomorrow can't come soon enough. I really want to know how bad it is and what I can do with him.

I ended up chatting to Kelly Wall this evening and we both decided as sexy single ladies that we should go out together to bars and such and meet new people like potential guys. I told her I was down for it and that my friend Alex would be someone awesome to meet, so we will have to see what goes with that as well.

Sprinkler Roulette

Every single month has a day that is dubbed "the ides." The ides of March is the 15th when Caesar was assassinated. Apparently the ides of October happens to be the 13th. And here is why.

1. My mom's coworker's daughter died today in a freak incident.
2. My Aunt's dog Max got hit by a car.
3. My horse injured himself (supposedly a suspensory ligament injury that can take 3 to 5 months to heal).

Yeah. What a crappy day. Grady to me is the worst. He is my life. My sun and stars and the bright spot in my life. When I spend time with him and ride him I feel free and feel as if I can take on the entire world. When he is injured I feel as if everything has gone dark and I am suddenly alone. I know there are so many people around me who are helping me and helping him but it is still terribly hard. I put on a smile and a brave face and keep on going, but inside I feel dead. He was coming along so nicely and we were slowly making improvements in our riding and now this. He could be out till April or later. The entire winter. All my work gone. I just feel like I climbed up the mountain only to fall back down again. I've done this over and over again and each time I have come out on top, but if feels like each time is a little bit harder. Until then I am armed and dangerous with ice packs and a lazer. Oh yeah!

Tomorrow I am supposed to be going out to dinner with everyone at Buffalo Wild Wings. It should be interesting since I haven't seen Kyle since we broke up about a month ago, but in some way I am kind of looking forward to it. After talking to a few of my classmates I am going to go in and pretend nothing happened. Hug and ask with enthusiasm how he has been and such and pretend nothing happened. I have already planned my outfit tomorrow so I am going to look like a smoking hot vixen. Oh yeah!

Oh My God, He Has Brain Damage...

We were once again playing with bones today in A and P and the skull that Bobbie-Joe and I were working with fell off the table and that's what she said. I died laughing. It was just too funny for some reason. Between that and the scapula flying off the desk, we were having a blast. So many bones and bony landmarks. I don't know how I am going to remember them all much less spell everything correctly. That's going to be the challenge and a half. And karma sucks big time too. We had to make little workouts for each other today in class and I gave my partner Jason some truly brutal ab exercises because he doesn't do a lot of ab work and wants to get better at it. So I sort of killed him in the process. Well he got me back good. He gave me the toughest leg exercises that all involved balance and my balance is awful. I was dying and my classmates thought it was funny because usually I am the one who never dies no matter what we do. While everyone else struggles, I find it no big deal. Until today. They were very impressed that they could break me down with balance stuff. Oh joy!

Apple picking went smooth today and my horse wasn't lame. Those were big pluses in my book. The Jersey Shore is really heating up and there are more fights. Ahh fights.

I have also gotten back into knitting and have decided that I am going to work hard and see if I can work on taking pictures and putting some stuff up on to the etsy page that Jocelyn and I have. Both of us have been mad busy with everything but I really want to work on it and see if people will actually buy some of the stuff that we make. If not, then I have lots of matching scarves and hats to wear in the winter time!

Which Bone is This One?

Today was the start of the new five week semester at Branford Hall and I have anatomy and physiology neuromuskularskeletal and program design. I love them both. I get to play with bones with all my classmates and color in my A and P class and then I get to go and design workout programs. How can I get any better than that? It's all very exciting to me. There are two new PFT kids as well. A boy and a girl. Both seem nice so that's good, but we will see how it goes.

I ended up riding Beau today since I got on Grady and discovered he was dead lame. That made me uber sad. But now I am home and watching the Jersey Shore and will watch the Event when it comes on at 9pm. And knit. I love to knit!

Crying Over Donuts

Today was by far the busiest day we have had so far. There is only one word to describe it: Insanity. I have never been more frazzled before in my entire life. No matter how hard Kelly and I tried we couldn't keep up with the donuts. People would come up and order a couple dozen and would get cranky when they had to wait for them. Seriously. We can only go so fast. I would love to see some of them try and do that and keep up without losing their mind. I swear at one point my body went to basic bodily functions and making donuts. It was that bad. Tempers were high and I have no idea how neither more nor Kelly killed anyone.

It's just so very nice to be sitting home with my computer and my fish. And Shakespeare in Love. Such an amazing movie. It makes life seem that much better. My family is on their way home, but I don't know when they will get here. It's okay though because it's nice to have the house to myself.

Tomorrow is the start of the new semester at Branford Hall. A and P bones and program design. At least that's what I think I am supposed to be taking. I can wait to start new classes.

I have also made up my mind. I am going to Buffalo Wild Wings with everyone on Thursday. Seeing Vinny and Becca today really sealed it for me as well as talking to Jocelyn last night. I am going to go and I am going to face Kyle. I have not seen him since we ended things and haven't talked to him in a while either. Everyone else really wants me to come out and that is what I am going to do. I am going to dress nice and look sexy and since I will get to the mall early I might as well do some shopping. I haven't gone shopping in forever and it will be better because I will actually have some money one me. Thursday will mos def be interesting.

Jake's Enemy Orange Juice

I am currently back in Bristol after a long day at work. It wasn't as busy as we thought it was going to be, but it was still pretty busy nonetheless. Tomorrow is supposed to be out busiest day of the season. I am kind of not looking forward to that, but there's nothing I can do, but go in and make a killing. My co-workers told me about ice skating and how some little 9 year old boy dubbed Orange Juice kept pushing him down. I wish I could have seen it because Jake was apparently awful at ice skating and spent more time on the ground than standing.

Erica's boyfriend (who has the personality of a rock) isn't here tonight so that makes life so much better. So it's just us and the dogs. We are watching Ice Age and I am going to actually do some knitting as well. Tomorrow my family comes home and life goes back to normal.

Home Alone...This is Creepy!

So my parents and my sister, along with the dog have all gone off to New Jersey to see the relatives and drop off Ali's car and I am here at home since I have to work all weekend. It is really weird to be home all alone. Sure I have done it before, but I am never a big fan. My house just seems so big and creepy when I am all by myself. Noises that I thought were normal suddenly aren't anymore. That's what drives me nuts the most. I have been on my own plenty of times before at college, but there were always people around. Friends in the next building and people next door. There was always the noise of people here and there. Here not so much. I am going off to my friend Erica's house around 10pm to spend the night. It will be interesting. I am going to her boyfriend Kyle for the first time ever and his crazy psycho non-dog huskies are going to be there as well. Those dogs are not friendly towards people. And I swear they have brainwashed my friend. Should be fun times with all the boys. Oh well. I don't really care. I can always immerse myself in something.

Last night I ended going out for the evening with Alex Moura. It was just the two of us and we got a few drinks and had a good time. I like spending time alone with him. While I love Jeanette, she changes the mix of things when she's there. I am a little easier to talk to when she isn't over shadowing me all the time. Besides, sometimes I just want to go out with him alone. I got be be with him when the clock hit midnight and he turned 23. Crazy! He was like, wow I am old and I ended up singing happy birthday to him at the top of my lungs. Only good friends can!

Today I had a free lesson with Ali in exchange for watching Gail's kitties while she was in Florida. We jumped and had a great time. The only annoying thing was that Sam was there with Doran. That poor horse has been ridden into the ground and is burning out. You can see it when he goes around and she fights with him. Gail says the same thing. She feels bad for the horse. She told us that the only reason she was giving Sam a lesson was because Sam was paying her and she needed the money. I guess that's fair.

Well I am going to finish getting ready to do and then I am off to Bristol for the night. Then work in the morning.

Fang

"You're my best friend, my first and only love and the most beautiful girl I have ever seen."
~Fang by James Patterson~

There are just some things in life that have a way of getting deep inside of you and touching your heart in ways you could never imagine. That was what happened when I read Fang. The ending got me the most and I found myself sobbing over a fictional character. It wasn't the first time and certainly won't be the last. In reading the end, I found that it tore a huge hole into my heart. Here was the story of a girl and a boy and in the end, he loved her enough to let her go. It broke her heart and broke mine. Fang expressed so much love to Max and it destroyed both of them. Their pain was something so tangible.

How I wish I could be loved by someone as fiercely as that...

You Just Called a Nun a Jerk

Would you rather steal candy from a baby or cut in front of a nun in line? The question of the morning on kiss 95.7. Most people said that they would rather steal candy from a baby. One woman stated that she would rather cut in front of a nun because they were mean and strict and jerks. Oh the intelligence of people is astounding sometimes, but it sure made me happy while driving to school today.

The other amazing quote of the day: Holy Hand Grenade Batman, it's a bat cave! Yup. I have some serious issues but I don't mind at all. If it keeps me happy its golden in my eyes.

Beau tried to kill me today when I tried to lunge him. I am never doing that again. He terrifies the crap out of me.

I would write more but I am suddenly mad tired. I guess I will read and talk to Matt Mercer for a bit before crashing.

Apple Fritters at Lunch For The Win!

One of my classmates got apple fritters during lunch and shared them with a group of us today at lunch. Amazing. I can never get sick of apple fritters. Okay, maybe if I ate them everyday for the rest of the year I would, but for right now, never.

I finally finished season three of True Blood this afternoon. I watched it religiously until Kyle and I broke up and then I lost motivation and interest, but I finally did it. It was incredible! And now I have to wait for season four like everyone else. This sucks. Oh well.

Abby found out that her baby is a little girl today! So exciting! I can't even imagine what she must be thinking and how excited she is!

I don't know if I am going to work tomorrow. Shelton had golf ball sized hail today and it's supposed to rain tomorrow as well. If it does rain I am not going in, but if it doesn't, apples here I come. And it looks like I will be back in that awful orchard one again. Ugh. I hated it out there, but this time I will be wearing jeans, and long sleeves and maybe a hat and boots. Yup. I will be prepared for anything!

Now off to read my addicting romance novel!

Warrior With a Flyswatter and a Pie

I survived yet another weekend working at the cider mill. It was crazy busy today again and we were extremely frazzled at some points. And it didn't help that the time seemed to drag by so slowly. I would look up and five minutes had passed. We even ran out of donuts tonight and that was bad. People really wanted donuts and there just wasn't any left to make. I made more pies than I knew what to do with and Kelly and Linda were beyond frazzled out with the register. Somehow we made it through and I am so glad for that. I was having a fun time in the kitchen destroying flies. There were so many and Ryan taught me how to be one with the flyswatter. I was pretty good too. I even killed a fly in mid air. Talk about talent!

I got to see a little bit more of Shelton today since the main road was all blocked off for Shelton Day. So i got to go on a fun detour to and from work. It was rather interesting to see such a busy stretch of road completely blocked off from cars, but that's how Apple Harvest here is as well.

I talked to Matt Mercer for a bit today and such as well as become even more addicted to my hot romance novel. Now I get to live vicariously through my friends and through romance novels. Oh well. It does make me a little happy.

This morning before I left for work I was sitting on Facebook and being a bum as usual when I came across a random video that Dan had put up. It was a whole group of people randomly singing Bohemian Rhapsody at the top of their lungs, and Kyle happened to be in the video. I couldn't watch the whole thing. I closed out of my browser and took off for work. Watching that video and seeing him broke my heart. It shocked me how much I was affected by it. I hope one day it won't hurt like this anymore.

Fritter Drunk with a Meat Stick

I absolutely love Apple Harvest. It is the one time of the year where I can go downtown and stuff my face full of food. Apple fritters are the highlight. Everyone cannot wait for them to come around and standing in the long lines to get them is part of the amazing tradition. And every year I eat far too many of them. My sister put it aptly that she could no longer walk straight because she was fritter drunk. Oh yes. That's the only way to describe it. I also found the most amazing thing ever. Meat on a stick. Yup. That's right. I had a giant stick of meat and it was delicious. And yes. I do know how bad that sounds. But I have a dirty mind so I am all for it.

Today was the busiest day at work so far and tomorrow is going to be even busier. Dan's sister Linda came up to help us. So that will make things a little easier (maybe) for us tomorrow. Now it is time to curl up with my tea and read my book for a bit!

I am a Fiery Vixen

Today I finally went and got my hair re-cut and dyed. God do I love the red highlights. They just make me feel so sexy and amazing. They make me feel like a fiery vixen. It just makes me super happy.

Today was a low key day. Sat at home, worked out, got my hair down, came home, watched Jersey Shore and more tv with my dad, then ate Chinese food. And here I am. I finished my book and have no idea what to read next. I also have work tomorrow. It is supposed to be nice out after the last two days of rainy and windy hell. That means we are going to be mad busy and I am not looking forward to that at all. At least I will get paid and money is always a good thing in life. So I think it is time for bed and maybe finding another book. We will see how I managed on this one.
