Dress Down Day = Dress Up Day for PFTs

I love Thursdays. I get to sleep later tomorrow and not get up at 730am. I really hate getting up early but it's something I have to do for school and work. When work is done, then I will be able to get up late all weekend which will be a very nice change. But right now I really enjoy earning money. Tomorrow is the last week of the semester. I can't believe five weeks at Branford Hall is almost done! Where did all the time go?

School was good and I actually got to the gym this afternoon. It felt so good to go and work out and try out some of the new exercises that I have learned from my teacher and my classmates. It just makes me feel so good to go there and work out and feel the muscles tightening up. I even made a goal for myself and plan to reach it one step at a time.

Goal: Lose 10 pounds and tone abs
When: By June 2011 for the summer and swimsuit season

I can do it. I know I can. Tomorrow is October 1st and I will weigh myself in the morning in the birthday suit and from there I will start with my weight loss goal. If I can lose two to four pounds (or more) a month, I will be pleased with myself. It's going to be hard but I can do it.

I Found A Puppy!

So I had a major panic attack today while picking apples. Now I have a terrible fear of spiders and bees and pretty much any creepy crawly that I come across. It's a problem in life and I have been slowly learning to deal with them (somewhat). Some days I am not as freaked out as others but for some reason today was especially bad. I went to a different orchard completely to pick these god awful apples. They were huge and you would pick one only to find half of it was rotten and squishy. After a while I was going insane and the bugs didn't help. I felt like my skin was crawling. It was awful. Finally I picked up my phone to check the time and found the biggest, ugliest, black hairy spider that had been sitting underneath of it. I freaked out, had a full blown panic attack and ran back to the cider mill. All in all I was not pleased with it.

Then I went to the barn. I didn't have any of the proper clothing since the jeans I brought with me are apparently too small. Go figure. Not to mention it made me feel fat. Oh well. So my mom said she was going to bring me out my stuff so I could actually get on Beau and ride him. It made Grady very jealous over that fact and while I rode Beau, he stood at his door and stared through the bars at me. But when I arrived at the barn I drove down the road and was going up the hill when my headlights revealed a small animal coming down the hill towards me. Then I saw it was a tiny jack russel terrier complete with collar. I pulled the car up next to it and opened the door. The little dog wagged it's tail and jumped inside. I put the puppy on my lap, floored my car and drove the rest of the way up the hill with the dog on my lap. It turns out the little dog was Kim's dog Tator. She had wandered off at 330pm and Kim was positively frantic looking for her. So I took her down to the house and Kim was ecstatic to have her dog back. It still amused me that I randomly came across her and she was super happy to jump in a car with a complete stranger. Oh well. I guess that's what dogs do!

Tomorrow is Thursday and that means I get to sleep in on Friday and I don't have to go pick apples because it's going to rain all day! YAY!

Did You Say Fall Off and Halt?

My instructor nearly died of laughter when I asked her that question. She told me that if my horse jumped over the fence off of one leg again I was supposed to haul on him and halt. I thought she said fall off and halt. Good thing I clarified! It would have been really comical if I had fallen off to stop my horse! He was a little brat today and was trying to blow me off left and right but after some good reprimands he got the picture and figured everything out.

Today the bus shuttles at school went a lot better and waiting was cut down to nothing at all. That was good because it was raining and it would have been really annoying standing in the rain waiting. And I found out today just how badly I destroy the curve in my anatomy class. I thought I did terrible on my test and got it back to discover that I got a 102. Seriously? I studied for like ten minutes and that's what I get. There is something crazy wrong about that, but in a lot of ways I am okay with that. I went through school always doubting myself and thinking myself not smart and it was hard in college when people talked down to me and acted like I was a dumb blond. Oh, that's done now. I am proving everyone that just because I am blond doesn't make me dumber than stone. I am smart. My classmates tell me this all the time. Also one of my classmates was flirting with me today. I was dancing around to a song on the radio and they laughed and said I should come out with them on Sunday because it would be a good time. Oh crazy stuff right there!

Kyle actually talked to me tonight. It wasn't much but it was something. We haven't talked in over a week so it was kind of interesting to hear from him.

If The 72 Connector is Finished, Where is it?

Yup. This afternoon the news told us that the route 72 connector, which they have been working on forever was finished and they opened it with a ribbon cutting ceremony and it is supposed to connect and come out on Middle Street in Bristol. My mom and I were going to the barn and we always go by the place where they are supposed to connect it. At Middle Street in Bristol. We went by there today and found no connector. Just the same unfinished road with a crane on it. Did they air the wrong story? Did they lie? Are they talking about a different connector? Who knows, but it doesn't exist. Oh well. Can't trust everything they tell you on the news. My mom and I must have laughed and pulled fun at everything for a good half hour. Oh well.

Today I took a bus to school for the first time in six years. It was definitely interesting and I really do miss parking right at Branford Hall but the Apple Harvest needs the parking lot. Go figure. But riding a bus to school was fun. It was a sh0rt bus! It probably would have been better if it hadn't been raining and gross but that's life I guess. It's supposed to rain like all week. I hurt when it rains so it wasn't too pleasant. And since I was far away from the YMCA I ended up going home and screwing the gym. Bad me, but I did work out in class and such so that is something.

HBO on Demand is amazing. I have the season finale of True Blood Season 3 to watch and then I have to wait like everyone else for the new season to come out. Oh well. At least I will get to be all caught up. It was also nice to sit in a living room chair and watch it on my 50 inch screen HD television instead of sitting on a hard chair in my room on my computer.

I feel wiped out, so I am going to quit now. Until tomorrow!

OH! That's Good Pie!

Today was our busiest day at work yet! We were selling our donuts faster than we could make them! It was insane! Even with three of us working on the donuts and such we still had problems keeping up. Somehow we managed. It was just crazy at times and the bakery area where Kelly and I were at was so hot that it was ridiculous. We managed to make it through and had a lot of good laughs in the process. Dan John ended up making a crazy zigzag pattern with the donuts as he was sending them through the flier. Jake was used for his tallness and Ryan had his crazy apple picking and pie baking systems going. We are a crew that's for sure! Even my mom and dad came to visit and bought stuffs. I was happy to see them and let them see where I go to work all the time.

Ali and everyone else did really well at the horse show. I was really proud of all of them and really wished I could have been part of the fun. But it's okay because there will be plenty of chances for me to show and take on my division. I have to keep up with Ali since she was the champion of her hunter division today.

I got to see Jocelyn and her new car today and even got a little ride in it! It's a really nice car with that amazing new car smell. Ahh! I love that smell!

I am currently talking to Matt Mercer again. It's really crazy but in a lot of ways I find a small sliver of comfort talking to him all the time. I think there are a few reasons for this. One, he is one small connection to the whole group of Shelton people and to Kyle, and two, he, in some crazy way, knows what to say. I have no idea why, but he does. I guess it's a guy thing. Oh well. It gives me something to do and someone to talk to.

Tomorrow it's back to school with my classmates and an Anatomy test. Oh yeah!

I Set Fried Dough on Fire!

I successfully made it through yet another weekend working at the cider mill. It was our slowest day yet and it was plenty boring at times. Maybe things will pick up tomorrow because I need something to do otherwise I will go bananas. Then again I already did. My highlights of the day were setting fried dough on fire (accidental! I mean it!) and taking my lunch break in the apple cooler. When it's as hot as it was today in the kitchen the cooler feels like heaven.

I have also decided that I need to not eat like three apples a day because while apples are healthy, they also have their annoying drawbacks. Oh well. I also sent Kyle a text and he never answered. I hope he is not avoiding me. If he is, he will find out very fast I am not one to be played around with.

Tomorrow is the horse show that everyone is going to. Even my horse is going, though I will be working. I better be getting updates and pictures!

Spartan Sheep Vacation in New Zealand

That's right. The Spartan sheep have to vacation somewhere! Ahh this is why I love my friends Molly and Kelly so much. Any other person would look at us and go, you are weird and please stop talking to me. Not us. We say things and then laugh for the next twenty years about the sheep and about the twitchy bunny in Alice in Wonderland. SPOON!

Today was an awesome day since I got to sleep in, got to the gym and had an amazing workout, rode my horse and did super well with him and then went out with Molly and Kelly for dinner and then watched a movie while drinking tea. Yup. It all equals amazing in my book.

So I am a Biggest Loser addict now. I absolutely love the show! It is just so empowering to see these people and to see how determined they are to change their lives. It's just so hard to see the ones that don't make it or who really need the help to get where they need to be to be healthy. I just wish all of the people who watch it could apply themselves and take strength from the show to change their lives as well. I want to see everyone succeed and I will one day be able to help people like them change. Maybe not in a game show form or with vicious grueling workouts, but I want to do something to help. And I think I can.

Oh well, seeing as my video wont play again for another 50 minutes or so I am going to busy myself with something else as well as talk to Matt Mercer. He's talked to me a lot lately. I'm kind of starting to wonder about his motives...

Falling Apples = Health Hazard

By the way, in case you have never realized this, falling apples hurt. I swear I have gotten hit in the head, arms and back more times today than ever before. I was like seriously? And between the spiders and the bees, it was crazy. It didn't help that my back was uber sore as well and made lifting and carrying even harder than normal. Oh well. I picked my apples and will make some money from all of that.

I found an amazing song that inspires and motivates me. I also listened to it over and over again today while I was picking apples. "Not Afraid" by Eminem. Amazing! It just makes you want to stand up and scream that you are not afraid and that you can do it. Oh yeah. My new song of life!

School went by fast and my team destroyed in jeopardy. Starting next Monday we have to park in a different location and be shuttled to school due to the Apple Harvest coming to town and taking over the parking lot. So for two weeks I have to park down the street at an elementary school. Oh well, that's how life works I guess. The barn was also good and Beau actually got to go for a ride with me for once. I barely have time to do stuff with Grady so I figured might as well. Surprisingly he was a good boy so I was happy.

I am now a Biggest Loser addict. I absolutely love the show and it is just so motivating and it might give me some awesome ideas as a future personal fitness trainer. Even though I am exhausted, I might actually start watching season one since I already watched the premier of season 10!

The Germans Bombed Pearl Harbor

Animal House always makes me smile. Especially that comment and the whole ending parade scene!! Well I finally have my internet back after over 24 hours of not having that or any phone service in my house and my ipod decided to come back to life again. That also greatly pleases me! School was good today and so was my private riding lesson. I don't have privates all that often but I really like them for their individualized instruction and attention. I definitely need it sometimes. And Grady did really well for me and then for Ashley afterward. I am really proud of him.

I have to put Grady on a muscle building supplement because he is losing muscle and looks funny, so we are hoping it will help me come back to what he was before.

Tomorrow is school then off to apple picking. My body is so sore right now and it is probably going to hate me even more on Friday, but getting to see Kelly on Friday makes it all that much better!!

Pleasant Street is a Death Trap

Well I guess it's back to blogging on my phone since my internets are down. It really does make life boring without them. I was going to look up exercise equipment and was going to look around on the Apple store website but I'm back to fiddling with my phone.

Today has been an interesting day to say the least. This morning I got running late to school because I was looking for a blanket for my horse. I ended up getting pulled over by a cop and given a warning which made me even later. I was going under forty and I got zapped because I was the last car in the line. Seriously?

School went well and so did picking apples at work. I also discovered to my great unhappiness that my ipod no longer works. It does everything its supposed to do except play. No matter how many times I tried, it just won't play. Now its frozen so I'm waiting for the battery to die before I try wiping its entire memory and trying again. Grumble.

I think I might write a bit tonight. I was going to look up about different foods and supplements for Grady since he is getting really skinny and bony but that will have to wait until tomorrow.

I Have Some Serious Apple Gas!

Oh yes! It is official. When You eat about eight apples in two days plus all kinds of other healthy vegetable like food, it means some serious gas. My mom came up with the apple gas and no lie the two of us were dying with laughter at the kitchen table while my dad thought we were crazy. I guess this is the price I have to pay to be healthy and eat fruits and veggies. Oh well. I will just take it all is it comes. Though it is still funny as hell.

Mondays are tough. For some reason class was even harder to sit through than normal. At least anatomy was. Fitness assessment is never boring and Carrie-Ann got us up and movie right away. We did more practice of circumference and skinfolds and then tried out the three minute step test and the Rockport walk test. I couldn't do the step test since the step was way too high for someone short like me, but the walk test went great and I scored really high which showed my cardio conditioning was good. That's always awesome for me to hear!

The gym went great today as well. Last night while watching two episodes of Jersey Shore they continuously showed under-armor commercials and saying "I will protect this house" and "I will." It was majorly motivating and made my time at the gym that much better.

I ended up talking to Kyle today and laying out the stuff I wanted to say to him and he was really awesome about it. He was sad that things ended but felt that this was what needed to happen. I guess I'll take his word for it and just keep looking forward.

Ryan Lost a Donut Under the Fryer

"Baby, I told myself that I'll be fine but it's a lie
I don't want to talk about it
Memories, oh they cut like knives
Deep inside I'm falling
Baby, catch me if you can"
~Mayday Parade - If You Can't Live Without Me, Why Aren't You Dead Yet?~

I made it through my second weekend at the cider mill. It was a long day today. The morning went by fast but after that not so much. It was so hot in the store, especially in the bakery and kitchen that we were miserable. After a while Kelly and I took turns going and standing in the freezer for a bit. Dan got us a fan at the end of the day, but I have my serious doubts that it is going to do us much good, but it's the thought that counts I guess. Dan John also came into the store and said hi and went off to take pictures. I told him I missed seeing him, and he told me it was because I hadn't come out in a while and needed to change that. I only missed one Thursday but I guess that sounds like a hint that I need to start going out with everyone on Thursdays again. I don't know if I will do it this Thursday or the Thursday after that, but I will at some point. Jocelyn said she would eventually come out again and I think I might wait for her before I return, even though I know everyone there.

Now here is the update that I got from Jocelyn last night. I poked her via text message and asked her if she could poke her boyfriend Christian and see if he knew anything about the reason that Kyle broke up with me. I am just curious and I think that there is more to that "its not you its me" excuse that Kyle gave me. She gave me some interesting things to think about. She also thinks that the reason that his feelings for me had changed is not really the truth. She thinks the bigger, underlying reason is that he is afraid of commitment and that he didn't know how to handle a relationship and ended it out of fear of that. Apparently, his best friend Ben said that while we were perfect for each other, he figured it wouldn't last because Kyle has never really been in a long term relationship and that is afraid of commitment. Well, I think he nailed that one right on the head. We talked about all kinds of things and she thinks at some point I should talk to him and see if I could clarify anything about what happened between the two of us without sounding like I am begging for him to take me back, which I don't want to do. At least maybe clarify to him that I still like him and think he's an awesome person and that I was willing to slow down for him and do whatever he needed me to do. I would also tell him no matter what, I would never take anything back and he allowed me for the first time in my life to be comfortable in my own skin and truly like who I am. That's what I really want to tell him.

Okay. Enough about that, but that was my weekend update. I'll admit, I miss him a lot. I miss a lot of things about him and just like the song states, memories cut like knives. But I never want to lose any of them.

Update from the Weekend Warrior

Alrighty. Quick update on me before I head off to work for another 10 hours or so. Work went well yesterday and since we had three people and a better system going we were able to keep up with everything and not run out of our most popular pies. The donuts flew off the shelves like none other and we got a pretzel warming machine. All good stuff.

In the evening I came back from work, changed and then went to West Hartford because Alex was having his grad party. Jeanette kept texting me and telling me that it was just her and his family, but when I finally showed up there were more people. His parents were super nice and gave me some much needed food. Now I know where Alex gets his looks and personality from: his dad. His older sister and younger brother also look just like him!

Eventually the group of us wandered around West Hartford for a bit before we all split directions and me, Jeanette and Alex wandered around, got a few drinks and caught up. All good stuff. I found out more stuff about Kyle and my break up from Jocelyn, but that will come tonight.

Off to work for the weekend warrior!

He Has the Personality of a Pea

Today was finally my day off from everything. It was so nice to be able to sleep in and not have to do anything all day, though I did go to the gym and bought some workout stuff at Walmart. Note to self: The next time I decide to buy some dumbells I need to get an actually cart and not just a small shopping basket. Carrying 26 pounds of weights around the store gets uber heavy uber fast.

Ali came home from school today which is good because it gets lonely in the house with just me and my parents. I can do things with her that I can't do with my parents. It also means that she can take care of her horse instead of me even though he really is a sweetheart. And she also comes up with some of the most amazing blog titles for me too!!

Tomorrow I go back to work at the cider mill working in the bakery and the pie prep area. It is supposed to be nice tomorrow and Sunday so it is probably going to be a mad house. Kristy and Dan tell me that it will get busier and busier as the time goes by and that there were some weekends where there were so many people in the store that there was barely enough room to move. I am a little nervous about all of that because I think I might get a little stressed and wild with the busy crowds and grumpy people but I am going to try and take it all in stride.

I think I might actually do some writing tonight. I say that every night and never do it, but I really think I am going to try. I have so many ideas bouncing around in my head and I feel like if I don't put some of them down on paper my head might explode. I'll do the best I can!

I Think We Already Watched the Tango Scene

I have survived my second week of personal fitness training school and still absolutely love it! I aced my fitness assessment quiz and got a 91 on my anatomy and physiology test. I am pretty darn proud of myself about all of this. I seriously can't believe how fast the time is going by! It's going to be over before I know it and I am then going to want it all back. Because after all of this it will finally be off into the real world. That's a very scary thought. At least I will be off doing something I really like doing.

I also went to work and picked 50 bushels of apples or so and received $60 in the end. I am extremely pleased with all of this. I do love having money in my pocket. I will probably receive another $60 next week with picking apples. I am so happy with all of this. I love my job and I just find it so relaxing to spend time alone in the orchard picking apples. Today I had a better system going with picking the apples, and having some music really helped keep me going. The weather was really weird and it ended up raining when I was finishing the last basket. By the time I left Shelton it was pouring and the lightning was wild.

I ended up talking to Kyle this afternoon. He sent me a message saying hi and asking me how I was doing. We talked for a bit and then I ended up heading out to the barn and he probably went off and met everyone else at the mall. I think it's interesting. We broke up and all his friends are chatting with me. Matt Mercer talked to me a whole bunch last night and I chatted a bit with Becca and Steph messaged me wishing me well and told me that she was always available to talk. We are going to keep in touch and such and eventually see each other again when we all get together some Thursday nights.

I also found a perfect song that I listened to over and over again when I was picking apples that made me happy. Strangely enough. "If You Can't Live Without Me, Why Aren't You Dead Yet?" by Mayday Parade. Even though the lyrics are kind of sad for some reason they like called out to me and I love it. Yeah. I am weird.

Otherwise that is pretty much the extent of my evening. Tomorrow I get to sleep in and then it's back to working on the weekend for some more much needed money. I can't wait for that.

Lady Gaga Makes Me Feel Sexy

Listening to the song "Alejandro" by Lady Gaga really makes me feel sexy. Actually any song by Lady Gaga makes me feel that way. There is just something about her that shows that she's not afraid of anything and isn't afraid to be out there dressed in a suit of meat. That's some hard core confidence. So I am going to keep on listening to that song and feeling like the sexy goddess that Molly says I am. Hey, might as well.

Today was a much better day than yesterday. After talking with lot with friends and myself as well as some good crying, I finally think I have mostly come to grips with everything that has happened. Am I okay about it all? No. One minute it was fine and then the next it was over, so of course I am not fine with it all. Who would be? Am I mad? I'm am actually. I didn't think I was and then all of a sudden I find myself rather annoyed about all of this. I probably should have gotten mad when it ended, but I am too soft and sweet to be a bitch like that, so I let it go. Now I know I probably should have been.

My thoughts on all of this. I have two things. One is that he was afraid to commit to anything further than what we had already done and decided to end it before it became something he wanted no part of. The second theory is that he suddenly realized that relationships are a lot of work and figured he should end it because of that. I am not so sure about that one, but I am still considering it. He is a very lazy person in general. He likes to sleep late, sit at home and play video games. And now that he has Halo Reach he will be unreachable.

Whatever. Enough of the past. Time to move forward. Well school went well and I aced another test and had fun doing some more fitness assessments. Then I ended up going to the barn and had a lesson with Angela and Tabitha. It went well, though I have my issues and such that I wish would go away, but that will take years and years of more lessons and jumping. Then I ended up riding Beau for a little bit. He was actually a really good boy for me. I feel bad that I don't get to get on him much but I keep trying to concentrate on doing well with Grady.

Well, I think I might write a bit tonight, but I am not sure. The motivation is lacking. All the ideas are in my head but I can't seem to get them down on paper. Oh well. I'll see what I can do. If not I'll just keep talking to Zac from the barn and Matt Mercer. Until tomorrow.

Pick Faster! The Zombies are Coming!

I won't lie. Today has been hard. It took me a long time to fall asleep last night and when I woke up I just lay there. It took so much to get myself up and out of bed. If I could have slept forever I would have done so, but the world was calling me name and I had to answer it.

School went by pretty fast. we played jeopardy in anatomy to study for our test. That was a lot of fun and we were all super competitive with each other. I knew more answers than I thought I did, but I will have to study some more but I think I will be okay. I am pretty good when I see it on paper. Usually. I have a 100 average in that class right now so I am really not super worried about it. My classmates have struggled though and I feel bad. I will have to mention that I will help study with them if they want.

We did skinfold tests in fitness assessment today. Now that was super interesting. I ended up partnered with Joann again since we are the only girls in class and we worked on trying to do them. I ended up freaking her out when I was doing the biceps and triceps because it reminded her of the doctor and she had to leave because she felt like she was going to pass out. I felt bad terrifying her. I then worked on my instructor Carrie Ann. She told me I was doing really good at the pinch test. I thought I wasn't doing great but apparently I was. We then looked at our numbers and calculated our body composition. We think the numbers that Joann did for me were a little off but I ended up being 35% body fat which I don't think is entirely correct. It made me kind of feel fat. But Carrie Ann thinks the numbers are okay and that I have a lot of lean muscle, so that's something. It still depresses me.

I ended up going up to the cider mill to pick apples. It felt so weird being up there and knowing that going to see Kyle wouldn't work. It really upset me all of a sudden. It all makes me realize just how much I miss him and wish things were different. I really do think about him a lot. I just feel so...empty or something. I can't really describe the feeling. I just hope things will get better. I really hate this. Being hurt is just no fun. I tried to get my mind off of it by pretending that the zombie apocalypse had come and I was one of the few survivors and was trying to pick as fast as I could before I got my brains eaten. It amused me for quite some time. And then it was off to see my horses and watch Beau be a silly butt.

Well, I guess I am going to go before my sudden sprout of waterworks ruins my computer. Signing off.

At The End of All Things

All good things have to come to an end. It's the saying that has been passed down over and over again and it is the truth. Nothing can last forever. We are humans and our life is short. Just a few short years and then it's over.

Kyle and I decided to end our relationship this evening. It was pretty mutual. Well, he brought it to the table and we we decided mutually. His feelings for me had changed since when we first started dating and he felt that to keep going with me would be to lead me on and it would hurt me even more down the road. I have been hurt plenty of times before. More than I should have ever been hurt in the first place. While this hurts now and is a strong hurt, I know deep down that it will be okay in the end. I will move on and be okay. Ending things with Mike was worse. There was no clear closure. It was just there and then not. With Kyle we talked and figured things out and want to stay friends. I couldn't bear it if we couldn't be friends. He felt the same way.

Jocelyn asked me if I tried to fight it. No. I didn't. I can't change someone's feelings for me. Never would want to. That's no fair to me or to them. Crazy as it sounds, while I had feelings for Kyle and such, I was never 100% sure. There was always a piece of doubt in the back of my mind that this wasn't what I was looking for. I felt that way at the start and it kind of disappeared a bit but it never vanished completely. I lost a part of my heart a long time ago to someone else and that part will never come back. I know that now.

While I am upset and probably will cry later on. I know I have so many people around me to help me. I can spend more time on school and more time with my horses and friends. But the important thing is that in looking back, I don't regret anything that happened or anything I did. I wouldn't take any of it back. And I will thank Kyle everyday for pulling me out of my shell and allowing me to live. He forever changed me. And I will always love him for that.

Thank you so much, Kyle. You still will never know how much you mean to me.

How Often Do You Use Your Thumb? Often.

That's right. You use your thumb quite a bit more than you know. And when you damage said thumb, you really notice how much you use it and how annoying/painful it is when it is not usable. I also don't like knives. Knives that slice open the pad of the thumb on my right hand. Damaging the left one would have been a little better, but of course I damaged the one I need all the time.

Well I survived my first weekend at the cider mill and didn't do too badly with it all. There were hectic moments and customers that weren't always so friendly or patient, but for the most things went even more smoothly today. We knew what we were doing and were more on top of everything. It also helped that it wasn't as busy today due to the overcast and finicky weather. But that was okay with me! I am going to pick apples in the afternoon on Tuesday and Thursday for more money and such. I am quite okay with it all and money is always helpful to me!!

True Blood is reaching the end of season three for me and I cannot wait to see how it's all going to end. Yes. I am addicted. But it's amazing.

I am probably going out with Kyle tomorrow evening somewhere around Southington. I was supposed to pop over his house after work but he ended up getting put on the schedule and had to go it. Oh well. At least I'll get to see him!

Now off to study for my quiz tomorrow for a bit. Then it's week two of personal fitness training school!!!!! YAY!!!

I Smell Like Pie

Yuppers. I came home today and all I could smell was pie on my shirt and in my hair. I guess that's what happens when you bake pies all day long at work!!

I survived my very first day of work today! It was tough. No doubt about that. I have never worked so hard or fast...or been so frazzled. But that's part of life. Today was finally opening day for us at the cider mill. After all that cleaning and organizing and stocking, we finally opening on an absolute gorgeous day! We opened promptly at 10am and worked non stop until 6pm. It was mad busy today and according to Dan and Kristy it wasn't usually as busy on the first day. Kelly and I were so busy in the bakery and kitchen that it was insane. The apple cider donuts went faster than we could make/restock them. We seriously went through about six cases of donuts in one day! I spent most of my time in the pie prep area and made pie after pie. At one point we were running out of our most popular pies and we were scrambling. We eventually got it all together but it was mad tough. Tomorrow we will be better prepared because we now know what to expect and how to operate everything.

At one point a rogue squirrel decided to take out our power, so the last hour of work was in the dark doing calculations on calculators and trying not to open fridges and freezers to save our supplies. All I know is I have never been so hot in my entire life. I have been freezing non-stop for like a week now. No matter what I am frozen. It's quite annoying. Last night I pulled my service heater next to my bed for warmth. Today I was dying. The walk in freezer that is kept at zero degrees was blessedly amazing. I also received my share of injuries while on the job. I burned my arm on a hot pie tray, scratches on my arm from cardboard boxes and then I managed to slice open my thumb on my right hand with a knife. Currently I have super glued it and will be taking a plethora of band aids to work tomorrow.

Usually Sundays are busier than Saturdays but since they are talking about rain and such, that might cut down on the people. It is opening weekend, though, so anything is possible. The first day is always the hardest, right?

I wonder if I am going to hear from Kyle tonight. He was being weird last night when I was talking to him. He said he just didn't feel like himself. I don't know what that means, but it worries me a little. Oh well. I guess I just gotta see what goes and see if I can still see him tomorrow since he has the day off.

Today was also the anniversary of when our world and lives changed forever. Nine years ago we watched in shock and terror as hijacked planes crashed into the World Trade Center Towers, the Pentagon and a field in Pennsylvania. I remember exactly where I was when I first heard something was wrong. I was at lunch in middle school. My middle school refused to tell us what was happening around us. I think it made us all even more terrified because we had no idea what was happening. I still remember my period eight English teacher telling us to go home and turned on the news and watch because it would be a day that we would never forget. That is for sure. I have never forgotten those images that were played over and over again on my television screen. We will never forget.

So Much Food. What To Eat First???

Today I had work. We were all there learning the last minute things and such. We reviewed how to work the cash registers again. I am pretty confident that I will do okay with that tomorrow. But I will probably be under pressure so who knows about that one. We learned how to make the pies and cookies as well as box up frozen pies to stick in the freezer. We got to eat apple donuts and apple fried dough was made as well as fruit breads. We also got to try to very first batch of apple cider and it was amazing! There was seriously so much food and it all smelled amazing! Kelly (my coworker) and I will be working at the bakery cash register or in the bakery. We will probably switch off roles throughout the day. I can't wait to start tomorrow! I am so excited and so nervous!!

I also survived my very first week of personal fitness training school. It is everything I had hoped it would be and I am so happy that I finally made the choice to go through and do it. It is seriously everything I want to do and I can't wait to keep on going and learn more things. I have learned how to use a dyna disk, a bosu, weight bars, foam rollers and I learned how to do 30/10 splits. Those are tough but a great warm up! I can't wait for next week!!

Last night I ended up going out with Kyle. It was a different sort of night since we didn't go to Buffalo Wild Wings but went to UNH to play frisbee with Dan. We then went to Friday's for some amazing food and then back to UNH to play more frisbee and frisbee golf which is an epic game! Though I suck at it... Astro Turf is amazing! Their field we played on was all that and it is so squishy and nice against bare feet!

Tomorrow will be a long day but I can make it and I will probably end up at work during the week picking apples after school. More money is always welcomed!

I'm Bored. Take Your Clothes Off

True Blood is amazing. Gay men going at it on two different fronts and then regular sex, I was completely overwhelmed!!

Today was another good day. I learned how to really use a foam roller and proper static stretching and such. I am sore though! My ankles are dead as well as my ab and my legs. Oh, let's just face it. My entire body is sore. But it's a good sore. I am also tired. I have to get back into a real schedule again. Kyle is not going to like that one!

The Happiest Kid Alive

I had my very first day at Branford Hall today. It was amazing! I have never been more happy with something. I feel like this is what I should be doing for the rest of my life. My teachers are incredible and my classmates are awesome. I am taking two classes this semester. Anatomy and Physiology of Systems and Fitness Assessment. The fitness assessment is really cool. We are up and moving and helping each other with exercising and everything. I feel so happy to be doing something that I find enjoyable. It's also incredible to learn how to use all the different kinds of equipment.

Kyle has been talking to me for quite a bit of the day. I guess he feels bad that I kind of got annoyed at him last night because his video games were taking place over me. And it happened like four or five days in a row and I finally got miffed. I hardly get to see him and sometimes I would like to have a conversation with him where he isn't playing video games because half the time he talks to me that's what he's doing. Video games are nice but not when they take over your life. When Halo Reach comes out I probably won't talk to him since he will be playing that and won't be available. Oh well. His loss. We will see how trends continue.

Jello Sluts and Freckle Faced Boars

Yesh I know. Random! But that's what you read when randomly opening a book to any page and then reading the first thing that you see. Jello sluts and freckle faced boars. Can't get much better than that!

I start school tomorrow. I am really excited and nervous all at the same time but I really can't wait to get started and actually do something that I like. It will be a lot of work. I already know that but I feel like I am up for the challenge! Having new gym clothes and a brand new pair of Nike shoes with Nike+ compatibility. It is by far the coolest thing ever! It's this little sensor that goes in Nike shoes that are compatible with it. It then reads back to either an ipod touch, ipod nano, iphone or a wristband. I would get the wristband since my ipod classic would not work with it, but it's still so cool! And it will sync up to the internet and tell you your workout stats and your progress and give you goals and training tips and everything about your run! I am so going to get it because I find running strangely interesting all of a sudden and have heard so many good things about it! Yesh I am very strange.

I can't wait to see what tomorrow holds for me! Now off to True Blood!!!

I Look Like a Tea Bag Being Dipped in the Pacific

It was what a stand up comic was saying on the Telethon that my mom was watching. I still laughed really hard when he was talking about suitcases being overweight in the airport. what do you want me to do? Cut a pair of underwear in half? It was great.

Today was a low key day. I got an awesome pair of Nike sneakers. The are black and hot pink and they are all set for the Nike/Apple workout device that goes in the shoe and gives feedback about your workout. I think that's amazing! At some point I am going to think about getting one to use. I also got some navy blue gym shorts and a few navy blue shirts for class until the uniforms come in. I can't believe I am starting on Tuesday. It's so crazy!

Well I think I am going to finish my episode of True Blood and maybe write some. I've been having a fat day so I am going to eat my apple and think good thoughts.

Liquid Leprechaun

Okay. So I have been bad about blogging as of late but I have been busy and my life has been frankly boring. But I am back now and am going to semi update you on my adventures.

Thursday I went out to dinner with everyone as usual. There were almost twenty of us instead of the five we had last week. We had a great time and Kyle and I spent a lot of time together and I am super happy for. I seriously wish he didn't live so far away.

Friday was my riding lesson and Ali came home! I spent most of the afternoon trying to clean my room and put everything back together as well as making room for my IKEA bookcase. My riding lesson was okay. Grady was having problems. He couldn't bend his neck to the right and every time we tried he locked his body up and shut down. Gail and I think that he Lyme is acting up so we are going to have him tested again. I might do some lunge work with him and see if I can get anything out of him. In the evening I managed to put together my IKEA bookcase all by myself and it turned out great. My room is slowly reorganizing. I have much to do still but its better than what it was.

Today I worked from 10am to 5pm or so at the cider mill. We open next week! Today we spent cleaning the last bits as well as putting the store together. I ended up pricing and putting labels on honey as well as sorting, organizing and putting out pie boxes. Some of them had to be labeled as well. The store actually looks like a store now and I even learned how to use the cash register today! I am nervous about opening but I can do it. I have the shirts and stuff for the uniform and we are all meeting on Friday for the last minute things and to be taught how to do things like bake pies and such. I can't wait!

After work I went to Jocelyn's house and chatted with her and her parents and Christian. I looked at the jewelry book and ordered a piece and ended up eating Chinese food with them. Eventually I went home and got ready to go out tonight.

I ended up going out to Blue Back Square in West Hartford with Jeanette. We got a few drinks (probably more than we should have) and talked to two different groups of people. I seriously miss hanging out with her. No matter what we never have a bad time.

Now I am home and am talking to Kyle. He got home late for work so we pretty much started chatting about twenty minutes ago. Eh. That's the why life is sometimes!

DROID!!! Oh My God! What Was That??

My phone finally received it's upgrade this morning. So I was stoke and went for the upgrade. I was sitting across the room on my computer letting my phone do its thing and all of a sudden it belts out DROID! Just like in those commercials for the droid phones. Scared the crap out of me! I was like oh my god what the hell was that? But then after about ten more minutes everything fixed itself and the phone is now upgraded to amazing things. It's going to take a little exploring and getting used to but I think I can manage.

I saw the horses today. It was so hot I could barely move so I brushed them and gave them my love and such.

Now I am off to Shelton to drop off forms for work and spend the evening with Kyle. I am super excited.

I'm The Only Kid Excited For School

I really have to be the only kid in the world that is stoked to go to school. It also helps that I will be going to school for something that I love to do a lot. High school was boring and college was tough and sometimes extremely dry, but the school I am going to is anything but. I am going to personal fitness training school!

Today was orientation. I got to hear the rules and regulations and talk with the head of my department about what we will be doing with everything and where all our classes will be held. I met my other classmates. There are only three others in the program I am in and they are all guys. I'm actually quite happy with that. The last thing I needed was class with little preppy girls. Yeah, I hate them. But I will have to learn to work with them. And that will be epic when I can tell them what they are doing right and wrong. I got fitted for all my clothes and got my ID. It's all very exciting. I got to see the class descriptions of what I am going to be taking and such. This gives me even more motivation to work out and become as fit as I can possibly be!

I didn't make it to the gym today so I used the treadmill in the evening after coming back from seeing the horses and eating dinner with Dad since Mom was at a dinner conference. Tomorrow I have a bunch of things to do in the morning and afternoon and then the evening is me and Kyle. I can't wait!

Now on to True Blood! And I am already crying and it's like the beginning of the episode. This bodes well...
